The first part of my blog name is due to my fascination with fantasy dragons. Any dragons really, but especially fantasy. I have the books 'Dragonology: the complete book of dragons', 'Dragonology: tracking & taming of dragons' & 'Working with Dragons'. They are great books, vtongue-in-cheek, & vinteresting to browse through in idle moments. I read voraciously in the scifi & scifan genres & if dragon is part of the title I will read that over anything else. No doubt dragons will be featured in these blogs numerous times. About 10 years ago, I wrote a poem about dragons & other fantasy creatures in one of those idle moments.
DREAMING
Dreaming of dragons all flying our skies,
dreaming of horses with wings,
dreaming of griffins with emerald eyes,
dreaming of wonderous things.
Wishing for dragons with wisdom & pride,
wishing for unicorns white,
wishing for sphinxes to walk at my side,
wishing for wonderous sight.
Dreaming of dragons of magical minds,
dreaming of riding the sky,
dreaming of creatures ne'er seen in our times,
dreaming of wonderous flight.
Wishing for legends & myths to be real,
wishing for fantasy true,
wishing to know the touch & the feel,
wishing & wond'ring - do you?
